This notice explains how LV Compare accesses, uses, stores, shares, protects, and deletes personal information, including connected Google and Microsoft mailbox data.

Google API user data

How LV Compare handles Google user data

LV Compare is a life-insurance comparison platform and advisor CRM operated by Services Financiers Yves Aubin. Authorized CRM users can optionally connect a Google account to send email from the CRM. This section governs all information LV Compare receives from Google Workspace APIs. Broader descriptions elsewhere in this notice about analytics, marketing, insurance eligibility, automated decisions, or product improvement do not apply to Google user data.

Data we access

Google OAuth provides the connected account’s name, email address, and basic profile information through the openid, userinfo.email, and userinfo.profile scopes. LV Compare also requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send scope, which permits sending email from the connected Gmail account.

How we use it

We use the identity data to identify and display the mailbox that the user connected. We use Gmail send-only access to send messages an authorized user composes or approves and, only when separately enabled, scheduled renewal reminders. We do not request permission to read or synchronize the Gmail inbox, received messages, message history, or drafts.

What we store and for how long

LV Compare stores the connected email address, granted scopes, connection status and timestamps, security and audit events, an encrypted Nylas authorization-grant identifier, and outgoing message content and delivery records created through the CRM. LV Compare does not store the Google password or raw Google OAuth access or refresh tokens. Connection data is kept while the integration is active; security, audit, and sent-message records may be retained afterward only as required for legitimate business, security, and legal obligations under our retention schedule.

When we share it

Google user data is shared only with Nylas, which manages mailbox authorization and delivery, and Google, which sends the message, as necessary to provide the user-facing email feature; or when required for security or by applicable law. We do not sell Google user data or use or share it for advertising, credit or lending decisions, data brokerage, information resale, or any purpose unrelated to the visible email feature. We do not use Google Workspace API data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

How we protect it

Google user data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Nylas securely manages the raw Google OAuth access and refresh tokens. LV Compare stores only the Nylas authorization-grant identifier, encrypted at rest using authenticated AES-256-GCM encryption. Access to mailbox connection data and CRM message records is restricted to authenticated, authorized workspace users and the service processes required to operate the feature. We record security and audit events and apply access controls intended to prevent unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure.

Your control and deletion

Users can disconnect Google at any time from the CRM email settings. Disconnecting revokes the mailbox authorization, disables automated sending, and cancels queued messages for that connection. To request access to or deletion of Google-connected data retained by LV Compare, email info@lvcompare.com.

The use and transfer of information received from Google Workspace APIs by LV Compare adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. If LV Compare changes how it accesses or uses Google user data, we will update this notice and obtain user consent before using that data for a new purpose.

Microsoft mailbox data

How LV Compare handles Microsoft mailbox data

Authorized CRM users can optionally connect a Microsoft account to send email from the CRM. Microsoft grants LV Compare’s mailbox provider the User.Read, Mail.ReadWrite, and Mail.Send delegated permissions. Mail.ReadWrite is required by the Nylas sending service even though LV Compare does not provide inbox reading or synchronization features.

Data and permissions we access

Microsoft OAuth provides the connected account’s basic profile and email address. Mail.Send permits sending as the connected user. Mail.ReadWrite permits reading, creating, updating, and deleting mailbox messages, but not sending by itself; Nylas requires it together with Mail.Send for its email-send endpoint.

How we use the permissions

LV Compare uses the Microsoft permissions only to identify the connected mailbox and deliver messages that an authorized user composes or approves, plus scheduled renewal reminders when the user separately enables them. LV Compare does not display, import, analyze, or synchronize Microsoft inbox messages, folders, message history, or drafts.

What we store and share

LV Compare stores the connected email address, granted permissions, connection status and timestamps, security and audit events, an encrypted Nylas authorization-grant identifier, and outgoing CRM message content and delivery records. Nylas manages the raw Microsoft OAuth tokens and processes mailbox data as needed to authorize and deliver email; Microsoft processes the message for delivery. LV Compare does not store the Microsoft password or raw OAuth access or refresh tokens, and does not sell connected mailbox data.

LV Compare Privacy Notice

This notice applies specifically to the LV Compare public website, life-insurance comparison experience, and advisor CRM operated by Services Financiers Yves Aubin.

1. Information LV Compare collects

Depending on how you use LV Compare, we may collect:

  • Contact and identity information you submit, such as your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and postal address
  • Insurance-comparison information you submit, which may include health, lifestyle, employment, financial, family, coverage, and beneficiary information
  • CRM account and workspace information, including account profile details, assigned client records, communication preferences, outgoing communications, and security or audit activity
  • Website and device information, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps, cookies, and diagnostic information
  • Google account information and permissions only when an authorized CRM user chooses to connect Google, as described in the highlighted Google API user data section above
  • Microsoft account identity and delegated mailbox permissions only when an authorized CRM user chooses to connect Microsoft, as described in the highlighted Microsoft mailbox data section above

We collect this information directly from users, authorized advisors or workspace members, website interactions, and service providers used to deliver requested features.

2. How LV Compare uses information

We use personal information to provide the insurance-comparison experience, understand a user’s stated coverage needs, support advisor follow-up, operate authenticated CRM workspaces, send requested communications, maintain records, protect the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, comply with legal obligations, and improve the reliability and usability of LV Compare.

We do not use information received from Google Workspace APIs or a connected Microsoft mailbox for general analytics, marketing, insurance eligibility or pricing, automated insurance decisions, advertising, or general product-improvement purposes. The more restrictive connected-mailbox rules in the highlighted sections above always control that information.

3. How LV Compare shares, protects, and retains information

We may disclose non-Google personal information to authorized LV Compare advisors and workspace members, insurers or insurance-service participants involved in a request, and service providers that support hosting, storage, communications, security, analytics, and application operations. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction subject to applicable privacy requirements. We do not sell personal information.

We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including authentication, authorization controls, encrypted network connections, encryption for sensitive authorization references, audit records, and restricted access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service and meet legitimate business, security, insurance-record, and legal obligations. When information is no longer required, we delete it or anonymize it in accordance with our retention practices. You may request access, correction, withdrawal of optional consent, or deletion using the contact information below. Some information may need to be retained where required or permitted by law.
